• The duPont Manual Marching Band is hosting a Winter Color Guard Interest Meeting on Monday, December 4th from 2:45 -3:45 PM in the YPAS Black Box Theater. Mr. Gregory and the Manual Color Guard Instructor (Faith Bowers) will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. The Winter Color Guard Program is open to any duPont Manual/YPAS student (Grades 9-12) or current 8th grader with interest in attending Manual. Open to any student who has interest in the Color Guard Performing Arts which incorporates Dance, Flags, Rifles and Sabers. The activity will meet during the months of January, February and March. The ensemble will perform at 2-3 home basketball games and possibly in exhibition at one winter guard competition. Ultimately, the ensemble will serve as a positive educational program to enhance the fall color guard that performs with the Crimson Sound Marching Band".

DEADLINE TODAY - Happening this week - Win Lady Gaga Tickets!
The RAMdom Acts of Kindness club, in conjunction with YPAS and the Born This Way Foundation, will be collecting toiletries for the Center for Women and Families. Bring lotion, body wash, deodorant, Band-Aids, shampoo, etc. to room 225A now - THIS Fri 11/10. For each item, you will receive an entry in the drawing for the concert tickets.
Tickets will be drawn during afternoon announcements on Friday. All items must be delivered to 225A by 3rd block on Friday to be entered in the drawing. Items should be brand new and sealed in package. All staff and students may bring items to donate, but only students will be given entries in the drawing.
Consider joining Rho Kappa (National Social Studies Honor Society) and The Social Studies Alliance (SSA) New members wanted. Fees are due TODAY in Room 225B. Students who are members of both the SSA & Rho Kappa (grades 11 & 12) fee is $10. The members of SSA (grades 9 & 10) fee is $5. Kentucky law requires the district to create a seven-member superintendent screening committee to make recommendations to the board of education regarding the appointment of a superintendent. One of the members of the committee shall be a minority parent, who shall be elected by the parents of the school district. The 10 names on this ballot were randomly drawn from nominations made by school principals. The descriptions of the parents were provided by their school principals. Parents and guardians are asked to vote for one of the candidates listed on this ballot and have their student return this ballot to Main Office (Please see attachment for ballot and help out by voting)

DuPont Manual Student Artwork On-Display at Frazier History Museum (Thru Nov. 2)
As part of Frazier History Museum’s wildly popular An Evening with Poe performance series, student artists from across the region were invited to create 2D artwork inspired by Edgar Allan Poe. The majority of 30 pieces selected to display in the Museum, were created by Manual students taught by Ms. Tallent and Mr. DeWeese, including all of the top three entries! • Friday, November 3 - Young Choreographer’s Showcase in Experimental Theatre @ 7:00 p.m.
• Please join the Key Club for their annual trivia night to benefit UNICEF's Project Eliminate THIS Friday, November 3rd in the senior cafeteria. Doors open at 615 and we will begin promptly at 7 pm. Cost is $75/table of 6 or $15 for individuals. You are welcome to bring in food and non-alcoholic beverages and there will be food and beverages for sale. They have collected several donations from local businesses for door prizes and at least first place. We hope to see you there!
