ANNOUNCEMENTS
SWEETHEART DRIVE, February 2-14. Question: SWEATS OR NO SWEAT? Answer: BOTH! Sweatpants and deodorants are needed for the MANUAL COMMUNITY CLOSET, which helps our students in need on a daily basis. Please send in new or gently used high school-age size SWEATPANTS and new travel or full size DEODORANTS. Place donations in the PTSA BINS located at all Manual entrances between now and Valentine's Day. Thank you for your generosity.
Environmental Club's "I Heart Mountains' Day" Permission Slips and $10 are due on Monday, Feb. 9 and are located outside room 213. Please return them before or after school.

Dear Students and Parents:
JCPS guidance services has partnered with Operation Parent to bring a special session for all parents on the extremely important topic of Adolescent Stress and Anxiety.
The event will take place on February 10th at Durrett Auditorium (on the campus of Male High School) from 6:30-8:00. Jaime Heinz, a professional in the field of adolescent stress and anxiety, will be working with parents on what they can do to help their children cope with these feelings in a healthy manner. She will discuss anxiety that is caused by tests, sports, friendships and the overall expectations of being an adolescent while also giving parents specific things they can do to support their child.
Please see attached flier with event info. RSVPs are not required and all are encouraged to attend.
Seniors-Prom tickets will be pre-sold the week of February 16-20 after school in room 154 and during White Day lunches. Cost is $60 if you buy them early. The week before prom the price will increase to $70. Please make sure all obligations/fees are paid before you come to purchase your ticket. Guest permission slips will be available in the office. Manual Crimson Sound Marching Band Trivia Night is Friday, Feb. 20. Doors open at 6:00. There will be concessions and a great Silent Auction. Please see attached flier for more info.

The Manual PTSA is pleased to announce that it has increased the number and amounts of scholarships for our students. $625 awards will be given to four Manual Seniors.
