AP Exam Volunteers Needed

AP Exam Volunteers Needed

AP exam testing is right around the corner – Monday, May 7th through Friday, May 18th. Did you realize that duPont Manual administers over 3,200 exams during this two week time frame? MANY adults are needed, since for each exam, there is a certain ratio of volunteers to students that must be met. If we do not have enough parent volunteers, the school must use funds needed elsewhere to pay additional people to come in and help. Please consider signing up to proctor one or two exams. No experience is necessary.

Some of your duties will include circulating throughout the room while handing out pencils, tissues, and scrap paper if needed. A brief training session will be offered near the end of April. For the testing, simply wear quiet, comfortable shoes and bring a sweater, as sometimes the rooms can be chilly. Most exams will take place in the large gym or library with the exception of AP Human Geography, which is our largest exam. Due to the enormous number of students taking this test, it will be held at the Kentucky Expo Center fairgrounds with 14 volunteers needed. Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to ride the bus from Manual over to the fairgrounds on the morning of Friday, May 18th, but can also opt to meet the kids over there. There is an $8 fee to park if driving separately.

Please note that you are welcome to sign up for as many exams as you wish, but cannot proctor an exam which your student is taking. Thank you in advance for following this guideline.
