CCC Spotlight: College Rep Visits

Manual’s College & Career Center – also known as the CCC – is hopping these days. Did you know that during the months of September and October we will have over 100 colleges visit our school? College representatives from large and small schools, public and private, across the United States, visit Manual each year hoping to attract our students to their universities. It is a fabulous way for our kids, particularly our juniors and seniors, to connect with admission reps – ask questions, learn about their campus, inquire about scholarships and financial opportunities, etc. We already have schools like Yale, Duke, USC, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, UK, and WKU scheduled to visit. Interested in the Military? U.S. Naval Academy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Army personnel typically pop by too. Check out the CCC calendar to see when your favorite college will be here.

The procedure for leaving class to attend a college visit:

1. Student asks teacher permission to be excused from class two class periods prior to the college rep visit

2. Student provides a written note from parent to teacher

3. Student is responsible for all missed class work/notes

This upcoming week, Carleton College (Aug 29), Bellarmine (Aug 29), and WKU (Aug 31) will be visiting. Week of 9/4, we already have 18 schools scheduled to visit! Click on the calendar link now to see who’s coming.

Additionally, the Louisville National College Fair will be held at Bellarmine on Saturday, September 9th from 1-4 p.m. This is a fantastic way to meet representatives from MANY different schools.
