Laura Spiegelhalter receives award for family and career advising

Family and consumer sciences teacher Laura Spiegelhalter received the Spirit of Advising Award from the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) at the organization’s recent National Leadership Conference in Atlanta. The award recognizes chapter advisers who demonstrate excellence in modeling FCCLA character in helping students achieve success. The award goes to advisers whose patience, good humor, flexibility and skill form the foundation of FCCLA at the local and state levels and who are constantly faithful and often quietly working behind the scenes to ensure the success of their students. This honor is bestowed on only one FCCLA chapter adviser from each state.

She is also the president of Kentucky Association for Career and Technical Education and featured in the latest edition of Kentucky Teacher.
