The JCPS Clothing Assistance Program, sponsored by the 15th District PTA and supported by individual school PTA chapters across the district, provides clothing free of charge to families in need within our school district. This program is highly impactful in the lives of students.
The CAP committee just finished our semi-annual work day at the Clothing Assistance Program. We were able to assist CAP with sorting and tagging clothing destined for families. Eight volunteers spent a couple hours making an impact on students.
In addition to providing clothing to JCPS families on a regular basis. The Clothing Assistance Program sponsors special community programs throughout the year. This weekend, in preparation for the holiday season, CAP is sponsoring a Take What You Can Tote event. This event allows families in the community to take a bag full of clothing for their families. The event will also provide gently used books for these community members.
Please consider donating books or clothing to CAP this week in preparation for this event. There are 3 large bins in school decorated by our VA students and clearly labeled for CAP donations. They are located in the main lobby, near the cafeterias and at the entrance to the VA Annex.
